Pakistani Court Lifts Ban on Facebook Today

After a ban on Facebook that lasted for 13 days, today morning Lahore Pakistan court lifted ban on Facebook. This ban was modified against the blasphemous cartoon of Prophet that was offensive to Muslims. Many other major social networking and database sites were also restricted protestingly. Some of those were lifted after few days of the objected event. Later on, Facebook apologized and removed the event from the site but Facebook remained banned throughout the period. Tt greatly influenced the reputation and worth of Facebook all over the Muslim world that had been the big part of Facebook communities.

Secretary of ministry of information technology, Najibullah Malik told that Pakistani High Court has lifted restriction on the Facebook from Monday, May 31. Though it was not seen working till the early morning, but it is expected to be active on the day.

These 13 days provided a golden opportunity for the Pakistani IT engineers who launched a clone of Facebook, that they named as MillatFacebook. This is the first social networking site of Pakistan designed by IT engineers of Lahore. It has most of the feature common with Facebook.

The new design provides you easy and quick access to social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. You can easily make postings on Twitter and change the status of Facebook account while staying at homepage. You will be able to see a list of most popular topics and stories. You can also get tweets from the users and local blog post updates. Already there are 50% of Bing searches driven from Microsoft MSN. So the new beta design may or may not be affecting those 50% search which is Microsoft is aware of.

In the new MSN design, you can see the emails arriving right on your homepage. You will get alert of new email when it hits your mailbox. Homepage’s blue background takes less area than before and number of text blocks is also reduced. Now it will be holding fewer categories with more white space. You can make search from Bing more easily and quickly with more powerful results. The new modified look makes it easier for you to find exactly what you are looking for within seconds, as it include less ads and contents on homepage now.

Facebook Redesigned its Look on 6th Anniversary

Facebook brought its new look on its 6th anniversary. Users of Facebook experienced it with a new redesigned look with more effectiveness from February 4, 2010. Its new interface emphasizes more on the easy search and many more features.

Facebook has already changed its home design in the past but its recent new innovation in design is especially to focus the easier interface for the users. Users can find everything they may be looking for in a convenient way. Rather than just emphasizing the visual interface, it also promises now to navigate around the popular global social networking sites.

Some highlights of the changed look of Facebook are described here. Its menus on top and left hand side are changed in look that makes it easier to see the notification icon. Chat link is now modified to add on the left side of page. It helps to let you know instantly when your friends come online or go offline. A dashboard link is added to Facebook redesigned look which is linked to games and other entertainment applications. In other words it is a news stream to keep you updated about the popular Facebook game applications, like Farnville.
